What leaves your Mac
Nothing you write. Vehla does not run an inference server and never sees your prompts, selections or clipboard. Local models run on-device; with your own API key, requests go from your Mac straight to that provider. The only things Vehla's servers see are licence checks and optional anonymous install analytics, which you can turn off in Settings. The privacy policy has the full list.
Questions about pricing
Is Vehla a subscription?
No. Free is free forever. Pro is $29.99 once, for two Macs, with free updates for life. There is no renewal and no yearly update fee.
Is there a trial?
Yes. Start a 7-day Pro trial from Settings inside the app. It doesn't ask for a card and the app simply returns to Free when it ends. Inside the app the Pro tier is labelled Premium.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email admin@kailalabs.com within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. See the refund policy.
How many Macs can I use Pro on?
Two at a time. Deactivate a Mac in Settings › Privacy & Pro to move the licence to another one, for example when you replace a machine.
Do I need an API key?
No. Vehla ships an on-device MLX runtime, so text actions, dictation and OCR run without a key or a connection. Cloud models are optional and bring-your-own-key.
Does Free expire?
No. The limits on Free (clips, notes, snippets, AI uses per month) are the only difference, and they stay the same whether you've used Vehla for a day or a year.
